ShipAlert ("we", "our", "the app") is a Shopify application that helps merchants monitor shipments and detect delivery delays. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1. Data We Collect
When you install ShipAlert, we access and store:
Order and fulfillment data — order numbers, tracking numbers, carrier names, and customer shipping details (name and email) for fulfilled orders.
Shop information — your Shopify store domain and contact email for sending delay alerts.
Tracking events — shipment status updates from third-party tracking providers (TrackingMore).
2. How We Use Your Data
To track shipments and detect delivery delays
To send you (the merchant) email alerts about delayed shipments
To optionally send your customers email updates about their shipment status, if you enable this feature
To display shipment statistics in your dashboard
3. Third-Party Services
We share tracking numbers and carrier information with:
TrackingMore — to retrieve shipment tracking status updates. See their privacy policy.
Resend — to deliver email notifications. See their privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your shipment and tracking data for as long as you have the app installed. When you uninstall ShipAlert, all your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
5. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access tokens are stored securely and are never exposed to third parties. Our database is hosted on encrypted infrastructure provided by Fly.io.
6. Your Rights
You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Uninstalling the app will also trigger automatic data deletion.
